This Privacy Policy explains what information HolistiSocial collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account info: email, handle, display name, password (hashed), avatar, bio, practice label.
- Content: videos, comments, likes, follows, direct messages, products you list.
- Engagement & analytics: views, watch time, clicks, device/browser info, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Commerce data: orders, shipping address, affiliate clicks, payout details. Payment card data is handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
How we use information
- Operate, secure, and improve the platform.
- Personalize your feed, Discover page, and recommendations.
- Process purchases, calculate affiliate rewards, and pay creators.
- Send transactional emails (order receipts, password resets, moderation notices).
- Detect fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
How we share information
We share data only with service providers that help us run HolistiSocial (hosting, database, email, Stripe for payments). We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our community.
Your choices and rights
- Access & update: edit your profile, password, and content in Settings.
- Delete: delete your videos, comments, and posts at any time, or email us to request full account deletion.
- Block & report: use in-app tools to block users or report content.
- GDPR / CCPA: residents of the EU/UK and California may request a copy of their data or its deletion by emailing us.
Direct messages
Direct messages are visible to the sender and recipient and are stored on our servers. They are not end-to-end encrypted. Don't share sensitive medical, financial, or government-ID details over DMs.
Children
HolistiSocial is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention & security
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and comply with our legal obligations. We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, row-level security, restricted admin access). No system is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email.
